- Memory Burn: On first burn, allow the melt pool to reach all edges of the vessel (approx. 2–3 hours).
- Trim the Wick: Trim wick to 1/4 inch (5mm) before each relight to prevent soot and mushrooming.
- Safe Burning: Burn for a maximum of 4 consecutive hours. Keep out of reach of drafts and direct sunlight.
