The Anatomy of a Wax Melt
A wax melt (often cast in a segmented snap bar or tart shape) is a concentrated blend of soy plant wax infused with up to 10%–12% fragrance load. Because there is no cotton wick to ignite, wax melts never produce open flames, soot, or smoke.
They are heated indirectly by an electric heating element or a gentle tealight beneath a ceramic dish, making them beloved by college students, pet owners, and busy families.
