What You Need: Burner & Snap Bar Basics
Wax melts are small blocks of scented wax without a wick. To diffuse their fragrance, you place 1 to 2 cubes into the top dish of a ceramic tealight burner or an electric plug-in wax warmer.
As the dish warms, the wax liquefies completely, releasing concentrated fragrance into the room faster and more intensely than a traditional candle.
- Tealight Burner: Use standard 4-hour unscented tealights inside the base.
- Electric Warmer: Ideal for homes with curious pets or offices where open flames are prohibited.
- Cube Count: 1 cube for bedrooms (under 200 sq.ft); 2 cubes for large open living areas.
The Easiest Ways to Clean & Change Melted Wax
Unlike candles where wax evaporates slowly with the flame, wax melts do not vanish; only the fragrance oils dissipate. After 15 to 20 hours of burn time, you must remove the spent wax.
The Cotton Ball Trick: While the spent wax is still liquid, drop 2 cotton balls into the dish. They will soak up the wax entirely in seconds. Wipe with a dry paper towel and add your new scent!
